IRON RIVER—In conjunction with Rum Rebellion festivities, the Friends of the West Iron District Library will host a bake sale, photo shoot and brat feed.
The bake sale will be held on Friday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library circulation desk area. Those who wish to donate baked goods for the sale can drop them off at the library on Thursday, July 11, before 5 p.m. or at 8 a.m. on the day of the sale. No cupcakes, please.
In addition to purchasing fresh baked goods, the public can participate in an historic photo shoot at the library on July 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Costumes, props and backdrops appropriate to the time period will be provided for people to use. The cost of an individual photo is $5. Pictures will be available to take home within minutes of posing.
The Friends will conclude its Rum Rebellion celebration with a brat feed on Saturday, July 13, in front of Angeli’s Central Market. Between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., the public can purchase a brat and a soda for $3.
