CASPIAN— The Lee LeBlanc Chapter of the Audubon Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 10 at the Iron County Museum. The meeting is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Dan Wilcox, retired DNR forester, will present a program about modern techniques and technology used to fight forest fires. He will include some of his experiences in the recent big fires near Republic and Sceney here in the Upper Peninsula.
Light refreshments will follow.
The society meets the second Monday of each month, May through October, at 7 p.m. An interesting slate of guest speakers is on the schedule.
