CASPIAN—By winning all 15 possible points, The Station rallied from one point behind to win the championship of the Iron River Women’s Pool League April 4.
The Station trailed Snipe Lake I by one game after the March 28 matches but won 12 points by sweeping its opponent plus three more points for its attendance during the season. The Station wound up with a 150-105 record, six points ahead of Snipe Lake I, which finished 144-111.
Here are the final standings, including all team points and attendance points: The Station, 150-105; Snipe Lake 1, 144-111; Cozee 1, 141-113; Cozee 2, 137-118; UP North, 129-125; Randy’s, 128-127; Wooden Nickel, 104-151; and Snipe Lake 2, 100-158.

The top shooter for this season was Michelle Jarvi of The Station, who won 76 percent of her matches. Second was Jody Larson of Randy’s, who won 74 percent; and Linda Nordstrom of The Station was third at 73 percent.
The league also acknowledged five shooters who had perfect attendance for the season: Jarvi and Tammy Ketchum, both of The Station; Julie Baumgartner of Snipe Lake 1; Stephanie Monhead of Randy’s; and Rachel Turbessi of Snipe Lake 2.
The women’s pool league’s final meeting will be held at The Station on Thursday, April 11, at 5:30 p.m. All teams are asked to bring their scorebooks along to hand in. If you are taking part in the April 20 tournament, bring along the $5 entrance fee.
League members will discuss the banquet and tournament at the meeting, so everyone should come, especially captains, to receive their final point, which was already added to the scores.
