CRYSTAL FALLS—The Forest Park Board of Education selected Jason M. Gasperich to fill a vacated seat during a meeting Feb. 25.
“I just want to give something back to the community,” Gasperich said after the meeting. He and his wife have three children, including two children currently in the school district.
Gasperich was selected after interviewing for the seat during a special meeting earlier in the day.
The other contender, Raymond Kudwa, was unable to attend the interviews due to a prior commitment.
The seat on the School Board was made available in January by the resignation of Kristine Imhoff.
“He has been involved in business, he’s also been involved in various groups,” School Board President James Nocerini said about Gasperich. “He’s been a leader, and he’s willing to work and be part of moving our school district forward.”
Board Member Don Peterson agreed.
“His experience in business and having children in the district made him an excellent fit for the board,” Peterson said. “He is a parent who is involved in the district and in his kids’ education.”
The district needed to fill the vacancy during the Feb. 25 meeting. Otherwise the Dickinson–Iron Intermediate School District could assign a board member.
Gasperich was sworn in during the meeting.
