INDIAN LAKE--The Iron County Youth Camp will be mailing out registration forms beginning March 1. Band Camp registration forms will be mailed out and available after Feb. 1.
Please obtain a registration form and mail it to the Youth Camp address, which is located on the registration form. Dates and a brief description of our three programs follow.
Senior Citizen Days at the Youth Camp are scheduled for June 12, 13 and 14 and will provide the opportunity for those who attend to enjoy the out-of-doors. Boat rides, arts and crafts, music, archery, river rafting, singing and canoeing are some of the popular activities along with enjoying friends.
Band Camp is scheduled for the week of June 16 to June 22. During this week, some of the most talented instrumental instructors and musicians in the country will come to Iron County to work with high school and junior high school band students. These instrumental specialists will perform for the pubic at a Thursday evening concert at the Youth Camp beginning at 7:30 p.m., June 20. Everyone is invited. The Band Camp student concert will be hosted by the West Iron County Public Schools and located at the West Iron County High School gymnasium located in Iron River and will begin at 7:30 p.m., June 22. Everyone is invited. Band Camp application forms are now available at the local school offices or from the local band instructors.
Batawagama Youth Camp is scheduled to begin June 23 and continue on a weekly schedule for five consecutive weeks. During these weeks campers will enjoy the many out door activities that have been so popular for 68 years. Youth Camp application forms will be available at local school offices.
