The contest runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. The entrance fee is $7 which includes a free hot dog. All ages are welcome
Concessions are available all day.
Largest walleye caught will receive $75, largest northern $25, and for the largest perch caught $25. Other door prizes will be given as well. Fresh caught fish will only be eligible for entry.
This annual Fishing Derby is sponsored by the West Iron County High School Forest Club.  Any questions please call Joel VanLanen at (906) 265-5184 during school hours.
The club appreciates angler participation in the past years. The money raised made it possible to accomplish the club projects. In the past, they have used the fundraiser to purchase supplies for maple syrup production, pay for a presentation by a herpetologist, and purchase waders for river cleanup.
Club members said, “Your support makes this event possible. Come on out for a fun filled day.”
