CRYSTAL FALLS—The Iron County Board of Commissioners has filled several vacancies on appointed boards, but still seeks applicants for key positions.
A Western Upper Peninsula Substance Abuse Services Coordinating Agency position was filled by Rosalie King. Two open terms on the Iron County Housing Commission were given to Helen Perry and Deb Divoky. Sara Basso and Raymond Kudwa will fill two of the five terms available on the county Parks and Recreation Committee, while two seats remain open on the Authority on Aging. A position for an Iron County Chamber of Commerce member is available on the Economic Development Corporation.
Phil Westphal will fill the vacancy for an electrician, and Steve Wiegan was approved as design professional on the construction code committee.
Letters of interest for the unfilled positions may be submitted to county Administrator Sue Clisch. Assignments must be approved by the Board of Commissioners.
