CRYSTAL FALLS—Several seats on county commissions and departments may remain unfilled for lack of applicants.


As of Dec. 10, no letters of interest had been received by county Administrator Sue Clisch for a Chamber of Commerce representative to the Economic Development Commission. Two seats on the Authority on Aging remain unfilled, as well as a seat on the Construction Code Board in the design aspect and another for an electrician. Only one person submitted a letter of interest for the Brownfield Authority, where three seats are vacant.
Peter Djupe of Stambaugh Township submitted letters of interest for positions on the Coodinating Agency and the Brownfield Authority.
Hellen Perry and Deb Divoky both applied for two open seats on the Iron County Housing Commission.
Applicants had until noon Monday to submit a letter of interest.
