CRYSTAL FALLS—The statewide volleyball coaches association has chosen Forest Park junior Lexi Gussert to the Class D all-state second team for the 2012 season.
Two other Lady Trojans received all-state honorable mention: outside hitter Mindy DeNell and libero Gina Graff, who are both seniors.
The all-state teams were announced by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association last week.
Gussert, a middle hitter, was the only U.P. player selected to the first, second and third all-state teams in any class.
Lake Linden-Hubbell had two girls who received Class D honorable mention: middle hitters Brittni Kissul and Mindy Perrault, who are both seniors. Rudyard’s Dominique Tremblay, a senior libero, also got HM recognition from the state coaches group.
