CASPIAN—The theme of the 23rd annual Christmas Tree Galleria at the Iron County Museum is Winter Wonderland.
Opening on Saturday, Nov. 10, the Galleria, featuring about 40 beautifully decorated trees, will continue through Sunday, Nov. 18. Planning for this museum annual fundraiser is well on its way, said organizers.
On Nov. 10, a number of Iron County volunteers will be honored during an afternoon program.
“If there is a special volunteer who you think should be honored, please contact Marcia at 265-3942. Nominations will close on Oct. 30.”
The schedule for participation and special events has been determined: set up of trees will take place on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If necessary, call the museum at 265-2617 to make special arrangements.
Visitors are invited to view the trees daily: Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or Sundays through Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Special events include the volunteer honors on Nov. 10, Christmas Songfest on Nov. 11 and Dancing Among the Trees on Nov. 18.
Another special event is a Monday Evening Family Night on Nov. 12. News releases about each of these will be forthcoming.
Throughout the Galleria, visitors will have an opportunity to view the fabulous display of raffle baskets that have been generously donated by Iron County people.
Tickets will be available after Nov. 1 from Jeanne at 265-6653 or in special sales at local businesses.
Blanks for tree registration will be available at the museum admissions desk, at local businesses and at the Iron County Chamber of Commerce.
