Christmas Galleria slated at IC Museum PDF Print E-mail

CASPIAN—The annual Christmas Tree Galleria at the Iron County Museum will be held Nov.10-18.
As has been the custom since 2001, the Saturday opening day will include the honoring of eight volunteers nominated from various areas of Iron County.
The Galleria Committee has had its first meeting and is now requesting information for nominations.
Nominations should include as much of the following information as possible:
--Names of organizations in which the person has volunteered--offices held in each organization; number of years person has served in each; description of types of activities/projects/causes in which they have served, always keeping in mind that such are not paid positions.
--List and describe special talents:  speaking, music, writing, working with youth, elderly, etc.
--Past honors received.
--Any other information that may be of importance to illustrate their volunteerism.
It is possible that more than one name may be submitted from a particular area.
Those not selected for 2012 will be kept on file for another year.
Only one person is selected for each area.
Approximated areas are Alpha and Mastodon Township; Amasa and Hematite Township; Bates Township; Beechwood and Iron River Township; Caspian, Gaastra, and Stambaugh Township; Crystal Falls and Township; Iron River, Mineral Hills; Mansfield and Mansfield Township.
Information should be dropped off at the museum or mailed to the Nomination Committee, Iron County Museum, P.O. Box 272, Caspian, MI  49915.
All nominations must be received by Wednesday, Oct. 31.
