MANSFIELD—The Mansfield Mini-Mights 4-H Club will sponsor its 24th annual Potato Fest at the Mansfield Township Hall, Friday, Oct. 12.
Dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue until 6:30, giving most everyone a chance to plan dinner around their busy schedules.
As in the past, there will be an array of potato dishes starting with ham and turkey served on potato rolls, gnocchi in either tomato sauce or with sauerkraut, German potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, potato salad, twice-baked potatoes, relish tray, chocolate potato cake, potato fluff, other potato goodies and beverage.
All this is only $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 to six years of age and free for those five and under, said organizers.
The 4-H club will be sponsoring a raffle along with guessing games on the weight of the biggest potato and the number of little spuds in the jar.
“Your dinner ticket will put you in the drawing for the many door prizes.”
Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a delicious potato buffet and join in the fun. Music for your listening pleasure will be provided by the Homesteaders and Norm.
“Your continued support of the local 4-H club in their projects and activities throughout the year is greatly appreciated.
“Make sure to mark your calendar now for Oct. 12 and plan to attend the 24th annual Potato Fest.”
Tickets will be available at the door starting at 4 p.m.
