CHANNING—The Sagola Township Sportsmen’s Club will host the third annual Combat Pistol Tournament on Aug. 25
 The event will have four different classes of shooters:  A Class, B Class, revolver and women’s classes. 

 The tournament is open to all skill levels. Shooting starts at noon (CST) at the Sagola Township Sportsmen’s Club here.
 There will be four different scenarios from four of the finest combat pistol shooting associations: IDPA, IPSC and even Steel Challenge. Scores with be the total time of all four events.
 Four classes of shooter will be used. “A Class” is for shooters that are in A class from Negaunee, Master class from Iron Mountain, or anyone holding IDPA of IPSC Expert rating.
 “B Class” is for all other shooters.
 “Women’s class” is for women only (and 22s are permitted for women only).
 “Revolver Class” is for revolvers only.
 Trophies for first, second and third will be awarded in all classes. There will be a $10 entrance fee for tournament and an optional $5 for each side event.
 All common defensive calibers are permitted. Optics are permitted. Dropping loaded magazines is permitted. Only strong side hip/drop leg holsters permitted.
 Two side events will also be held. A head-to-head elimination match will be held using a six-target dueling tree. The last shooter left will win $50.
 The other side event will be a “Sniper Walk Off.”
 The last long range pistol shooter left will win $50 donated by Bullseyes to Badguys, Pistol and Tactics Training. Optics are not permitted on the Sniper Walk Off.
