IRON COUNTY—CoVantage Credit Union’s bats spoke loudly in the fifth and sixth innings during an 18-8 win over Miners State Bank in Little League action June 5.
Connor Bortolini’s solo home run in the third inning gave CoVantage an early boost. In the fifth, Lee and Evan Hedtke started out with doubles, followed by a walk and Tyler Peltoma’s single, for four more runs.

In the sixth, singles by both Hedtkes, Peltoma, Jacob Frisanco and Bortolini got things going. After that, Riley Hendrickson and Jonah Logan both hit triples, and Josh Logan’s three-run homer wrapped up an 11-run inning.
 Hendrickson was the winning pitcher.
