ALPHA—The Alpha Defensive Pistol Association offers entry level shooting opportunities on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. at the Alpha Rifle and Pistol Club shooting range.

 The program, which has been around for five years, is directed toward persons who have their CCW permits or are interested in getting one. It is an opportunity to practice with a firearm in a safe setting.
 The first night is free, and additional nights of shooting cost $5. Membership to the Alpha Rifle and Pistol Club is $20 annually for a family.
 The range is located on Mastodon Road in Alpha.
