Retirement, resignations accepted by FP Board PDF Print E-mail

CRYSTAL FALLS—The Forest Park Board of Education has accepted a resignation of Board President John Harrison at its May 21 meeting.
 Vice President Julia Leake will assume duties for president.

 The board will appoint a member to serve out Harrison’s term, who will have the opportunity to run in the November election.
 The board also accepted the resignation of Cheryl Bicigo, para-professional and lunch cashier.
 Middle/high school secretary Louise Holmes submitted her letter of retirement, which was accepted, with appreciation and regret, by the board. She has been employed by the district for 26 years.
 in other business:
 --The board approved the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District operating budget for 2012-13.
 --Ballot language for the August election was approved. The district will be asking voters for a school improvement bond proposition.
