Contestants sought for Miss Iron County contest PDF Print E-mail

IRON RIVER—The call is out for high school girls, age 15 and older, to apply for the title of Miss Iron County.
 If selected, Miss Iron County will be asked to attend all events at the Iron County Fair, set for Aug. 15-19, as well as other county functions throughout the year.


 As part of the application process, candidates need to have a sponsor. The sponsor fee is $75.
 Crowning will take place on Thursday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Rotunda building at the fairgrounds.
 As part of the selection process, the candidates will be asked to give a three-minute speech on Iron County and hold a personal interview with the judges.
 During the program, each candidate will participate in a talent segment.
 Miss Iron County will receive a $500 scholarship.
