Workers at Iron River’s post office stand by boxes and boxes of food that they collected during the Postal Workers’ “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive, held on May 12. In all, they collected 7,644 pounds of food, over 3,200 pounds more than had ever been collected before locally—and all of it went to local organizations. The food drive was sponsored by the National Assocaition of Letter Carriers and had the support of many commercial organizations.
