During the recent Michigan 4-H Air Rifle Postal shoot held in Amasa, three Iron County youths qualified for the 2012 Michigan Shoulder-to-Shoulder Tournament. AMASA—Three members of the Iron County 4-H Sharp Shooters have qualified for the upcoming 2012 Michigan Shoulder-to-Shoulder Tournament.
 Youth 4-H sport shooting clubs from across Michigan will be competing at the United Sportsman Club facility in Merriman. The event will take place on Saturday, May 19. First shooting relay will begin at 9 a.m.
 Iron County 4-H Sharp Shooters Jesse Thoreson and Alex Nelson will be competing in the senior division; club member Joslyn Thoreson will be in junior division.
 “Spectators are encouraged to attend and cheer on the local shooters,” said Marvin Hill, club instructor.
