IRON RIVER—West Iron County’s girls track team resumed its season April 17 when it finished third in a tournament held at Lakeland High School in Minocqua.
 The Wykons had one first place finish. It came from the two-mile (3200-meter) relay team of Kylee Erickson, Cassidy Hinshaw, Bree Lambert and Jaclyn Waara. The winning time was 11 minutes, 27 seconds.
 West Iron had five runners-up at the meet: Megan Miatech in discus (79 feet, 11 inches), Joanna Pellizzer in the 300 low hurdles (53.69), Ashley Capadagli in pole vault (7-0) and the 800 and 400 sprint relays.


 The 800 team (2:09) included Alexis Golfis, Casey Harrington, Konnor Tousignant and Bekah Serbinski, while the 400 team (57.83) had Harrington, Tousignant, Golfis and Cassilyn Pellizzer.
 West Iron finished third in seven events. Full results follow:

 Pole vault: 2. Ashley Capadagli, 7-0.
 Long jump: 3. Sydnie Mazurek, 13-4.
 Triple jump: 4. Emi Christensen, 29-1.
 Shot put: 3. Megan Miatech, 30-4.
 Discus: 2. Miatech, 79-11.
 Four mile relay: 3. WIC (Bree Lambert, Bekah Serbinski, Cassi Hinshaw, Jaclyn Waara), 27:00.
 100 hurdle relay: 3. WIC (Joanna Pellizzer, Alexis Golfis, Mazurek), 1:01.
 800 sprint relay: 2. WIC (Golfis, Casey Harrington, Konnor Tousignant, Serbinski), 2:09.
 400 relay: 2. WIC (Harrington, Tousignant, Golfis, Pellizzer), 57.83.
 Two-mile relay: 1. (Kylee Erickson, Hinshaw, Lambert, Waara), 11:27.
 Thrower relay: 4. WIC (Miatech, Sierra Rasmussen, Kelsie Herren, Christensen), 1:03.
 800 relay: WIC (Harrington, Sara Penkivech, Hinshaw, Serbinski), 2:03.
 4000 distance medley: 4. WIC (Lambert, Shannon Penkivech, Hinshaw, Serbinski), 16:08.
 300 huirdles: 2. Pellizzer, 53.69; 3. Mazurek, 55.16; 5. Pellizzer, 56.79.
 Mile relay: 3. WIC (Waara, Shannon Penkivech, Erickson, Pellizzer), 4:28.
 No boys results were available.
 • Instead of going to Norway, the team will take part in a meet at Iron Mountain on April 24. On April 26, the Wykons head to Niagara.
 Next Tuesday, May 1, West Iron is scheduled to join in the Copper Country Invitational at Lake Linden-Hubbell.
