Out our window today, it is cloudy and cool. Temperatures are falling, and there’s even a chance for snowflakes later today. It’s a chilly mid-April Monday morning, the kind Iron County has known for years. Pretty typical.
 But Iron County’s weather in March was anything but typical. Like most of the eastern two-thirds of the U.S., the area had its warmest March on record. Even now, midway through April, we are still wondering what to make of it.
