IRON RIVER--On Thursday, April 5, the Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m., in the J. Patrick White Conference Room at the West Iron District Library.
Researchers will have the opportunity to learn what the local museums of Iron County have to offer genealogists. Overviews of the Iron County Historical Museum, Caspian, by Pat Turner and Kristin Graves; the Alpha Museum by Charles Dora; the Amasa Museum by Helen Hord; and the Harbour House, Crystal Falls.
These local museums strive to preserve and share our local heritage which afford genealogists a bounty of information, some of which could not be found anywhere else, noted a spokesperson.
