Congratulations go to the city of Crystal Falls and its employees, who received one of 29 Loss Control Achievement Awards from the Michigan Municipal League Workers’ Compensation Fund. These awards recognize members for their efforts in maintaining safe work environments and their dedication to reducing workers’ compensation losses through employee training. There are 850 members in the Michigan Municipal League Workers’ Compensation Fund. Crystal Falls is being recognized for having one of the two most improved experience modification factors for the policy year beginning July 1, 2011, in Category 4 (Fund members with premiums $15,001-$25,000). The employees of the city of Crystal Falls gathered for a presentation of the award on March 7, when Bill Caley, representing the MML Workers’ Compensation Fund, presented the award to City Manager Dorothea Olson.
