CRYSTAL FALLS—On Sunday, March 11, Wisconsin treasures Lou and Peter Berryman will perform a concert at the Second Sunday Folk Dance here.
Part theater, part comedy, part commentary, and always fun, Lou and Peter affect audiences like no other performers.
The concert begins at 4 p.m. with hosts Bette and Dean Premo (White Water) performing a short concert set.

After the Lou and Peter Berryman concert, food and beverages will be served and the dance part of the evening begins with Bette Premo & The Front Parlor Dance Band playing tunes and providing dance instruction until 7 p.m.
For those who want to make music, fiddler Bob Arthur will lead an old-time music jam session starting at 1 p.m. at the dining hall. Admission is $7/adult and children under 15 are free.
Lou and Peter Berryman are musical humorists who have delighted nationwide audiences for more than 35 years. Frequent comparisons to Tom Lehrer, Flanders and Swann, and Gilbert and Sullivan notwithstanding, these two are originals, blending Midwestern culture with intelligent observation in a whimsical and wonderfully accessible performance.
They have produced 16 albums and three song books of their original and hilarious, quirky, yet oddly profound songs, and have toured the U.S. and Canada to rave reviews.
Berryman songs are being sung around the world, by a legion of professional musicians from Peggy Seeger to Garrison Keillor, as well as shower singers everywhere.
Sponsors for the SSFD include Hiawatha Music Coop, Crystal Falls Lions, First National Bank of Crystal Falls, Geoffrey Lawrence, Riverside Plaza Merchants, Jon and Paula Pryor, Northern Michigan Bank, City Insurance Agency, Doug Felger-DDS, Tall Pines Grocery, Crystal Lumber, White Water Associates, Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp, Andrew Davis-CPA, David Holperin of Stifel-Nicholas, Lindwall Motors, Mike and Nancy Lewis, Ralph and Jean Eckerberg, John and Judy Reed, and Bad Waters Guitars.
The final Second Sunday Folk Dance will be on April 15 (actually the third Sunday in April) and feature Chris Brashear and Peter McLaughlin.
The Fortune Lake Camp is located between Iron River and Crystal Falls, two miles west of Crystal Falls on U.S. 2. (Turn south on Bible Camp Road and drive for less than a quarter mile. Turn right on Fortune Lake Camp Road and just drive a short distance.)
