Crystal Falls City Council scheduled a special meeting Jan. 20 to pass a memorandum of understanding with Fast Lane Delivery LLC, allowing it to begin a building project in the Crystal Falls Industrial Park. Dan Kurtz, owner of Fast Lane, made a presentation to the City Council at its Jan. 16 meeting, which included a scale model (shown) of the proposed facility. The lots the city is selling to Kurtz are located directly to the east of the Sommers processing facility. The next step is for the property to be surveyed by Kurtz, and a deed drafted. Construction of the office building and warehouse/sorting facility is expected to take place in the next 18 months. Kurtz plans to hire a number of employees.
