PHELPS, Wis.—The Phelps Lions Club will host its 26th annual Great Northern Ice Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 28.
The event will be held at the West Shore boat landing on Lac Vieux Desert with registration briefing beginning at 8 a.m. There will be a morning contest, (8 a.m. until noon) and an afternoon contest (noon until 4 p.m.), with cash prizes for the largest fish in each of five categories (northern, walleye, perch, crappie and bluegill).
The tournament dinner will be held at Stateline Restaurant in Land O’Lakes, located at the junction of Highway 45 and County Road B, immediately following the tournament.
The bar opens for a social hour at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Door prizes, tournament prizes and great raffle prizes will be awarded during the dinner.
Registration is $45 per person and additional dinner guests are $15 per person.
Registration is due no later than Monday, Jan. 16.
