Members of Lakeland Baptist Church in Iron River brought the Christmas story to life with its live Nativity scene at the church last weekend. The scene recalled the first Christmas in Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago including a celestial chorus announcing the “good news” to nearby shepherds. This was the first year for Lakeland Baptist’s live Nativity re-enactment, said organizers.
