IRON RIVER—The 10th annual Michi-consin Bird and Nature Watch sponsored by Crystal Waters Resort and Lee LeBlanc Audubon Club will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 7 a.m.
Beth Tiller, former president of the Audubon Club and ornithologist, will lead the bird watch through Bewabic State Park, a migratory hot spot. As many as 50 different birds were sighted during one walk.
The walk will begin at the pavilion and will take approximately two hours.
Beth holds a Ph.D. in ornithology from Michigan State University and a master’s in environmental education from Southern Oregon State University. As a research ecologist for an environmental consulting firm and president of Lee LeBlanc Audubon chapter, she thoroughly enjoys the chance to share her knowledge and experience with others.
