Brat feed benefit


Members of Girl Scout Troop 344 of Crystal Falls were kept fairly busy selling brats in front of Angeli’s Central Market on Saturday, May 3, as they braved the elements to raise funds for their summer trip to Washington, D.C. The girls (not pictured in order), Leslie Luft, Megan Olson, Sami Rutan, Sarah Fredericksen, Brittany Olson, Maria DeMuri and Liz Hallet, were joined by troop leaders Terry DeMuri and Nicole Kuzak, all very happy about the rush of customers on such a cold, rainy day.




Forest Park may lose daycare

CRYSTAL FALLS–At the April 28 Forest Park School Board meeting, Board Member Sue Casagranda explained the Community Schools committee met April 4 and learned the daycare program is losing about $400 per month. Full Story



IR Council OKs sewer rate increases

IRON RIVER—By 4-1 votes at its April 23 meeting, the Iron River City Council approved increasing its sewer rate by $1 and a flat rate of $2 for the West Iron County Sewer Authority (WICSA), raising the city’s utility bill from $28 to $31. Full Story
