IRON COUNTY—Forest Park’s junior varsity boys basketball team wrapped up 2009 with a pair of lopsided wins.

On Dec. 17, the Trojans outscored Rapid River 20-7 in the second quarter during a 66-37 win at home. Cody McGregor and Michael Smithson both scored 14 points, Kody Thrasher had 10 and Derek Aberly added eight. McGregor had eight points in the first quarter, and Smithson scored 10 in the third.

The team was all over Florence on Dec. 21 in an 84-45 win. Thrasher led FP with 18 points, McGregor scored 12 and Aberly and Kurt LaVacque both scored 10.
